This hub can also be used as a charger within a 0.5 A limit  per port and  an overall  4 A limit (8 A with an optional 40 W power supply).

For example 40 MP3 players can be charged by a mean intensity of 0.1 A (0.2 A with the 40 W power supply).

Thermal stability has been particularly studied, and is based on the latest technology for fan less cooling.

At full load, this hub does not heat up as shown below (bottom view):

Only three status LEDs show out:

- a failure of one of the connected USB peripherals: red LED;

- connection of ALL the peripherals to the host: green LED

- a peripheral being connecting: yellow LED
